Fully optimised, shovel ready projects from Europe’s largest renewable energy producer.
Statkraft Data Center Sites works to attract large data centers to Norway. We develop shovel-ready sites reducing the investor’s risk. This effort is a continuation of our more than 100 year legacy as a facilitating partner with the power intensive industry. We aim to make use of Norway’s increasing surplus of renewable power, to ensure a competitive total cost of ownership.
Statkraft is Europe's largest renewable power producer, with vast experience in large hydro-and wind power projects, together with energy trading activities. We have operations in 20 countries around the world and are continuously looking for opportunities to invest in innovative new projects and initiatives. For example, we are currently developing Europe's largest onshore windfarm, the Fosen project located in Norway. We offer over a 120 years expertise in renewables, and our rich heritage - together with our overview of the global energy market - make us a trusted and highly competent partner to work with on your data center requirements.
Reduce your risks
We develop shovel-ready sites and projects that reduce the investor’s risk. This effort is a continuation of our more than 120 year legacy as a facilitating partner with the power intensive industry.
Cut your costs
Norway has the lowest wholesale electricity price in Europe and the lowest energy tax possible as well. Our reliable high voltage grid makes hyperscale datacenters without back-up generators possible, reducing cost significantly. Furthermore, all (~97%) of Norway’s electrical production is renewable, reducing your global emissions footprint.
Secure your investment
Statkraft Data Center Sites ensures low risk for investors. We project all major infrastructures like access to redundant high voltage power grid, redundant dark fibre access, roads, water and sewage etc. The Norwegian society is among the safest and soundest in Europe, with very limited economic and political risk.
Statkraft is Europe’s largest renewable power producer, with vast experience in large hydro- and wind power projects worldwide. As an example, we are currently developing Europe’s largest onshore windfarm, the Fosen project in Norway. We aim to stay around as long as it rains and the wind blows. To develop shovel-ready projects for data center investors is therefore in our genes.
Time to market
Our projects are currently undergoing proper zoning and other relevant application processes, meaning a secure and competitive time to market for investors.
